Tell me your story...

Through deep, reflective listening and thoughtful questions, my hope is that you will discover a new and beneficial perspective about what's troubling you during our time together.

I know it's hard to reach out but it's worth the risk.

Together we can make things better.

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology (BAhon), a diploma in Career Counselling, and a master's degree in Counselling Psychology (MC). In addition, I have over 7 years experience in the fields of career and personal counselling.

I have specialized training in narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT) with couples, crisis intervention, sexual trauma, LGBTQ+, multi-cultural counselling, and brief solution-focused therapy.

Currently, I work full-time as a therapist at a community-based agency.

I am a member of the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

What are your fees?

My rate is $100 per 50 minute session. I offer a free 20-minute consult to help us decide if we are a good fit to work together.

Can I use my insurance?

Yes. I am a Registered Psychotherapist, RP (Qualifying), with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Please check with your insurance provider for RP coverage.

Do you do couples counselling?

Yes, at the same rate I charge for individuals. I work from an emotionally focused therapy (EFT) perspective when working with couples.

Do you work with families and children?

At this time, my practice is reserved to individuals and couples over the age of 18.

Theoretical Orientation

My bias is towards the positive. For that reason, I work from a narrative therapy perspective where I help you write 'the other side' of your problem story. Using narrative questions and curiosity, my hope is to help you shift your focus and see things in new ways.

In addition to working through a narrative lens, I appreciate that our experiences are made up of thoughts, behaviours, and relationships. For that reason, I also weave cognitive and behavioural theory as well as attachment theory into our sessions.

This article expresses how I approach therapy and answers the question I hear from clients most often: "Aren't you going to tell me what to do?"

"The person is not the problem; The problem is the problem."
